Whacky,
Good thing it finally stopped. I was just about going out of my tree earlier when a work crew was pressure washing the building next to me.  Had to put on headphones.

Whacky,
One of those truly---don't care to experience again feelings---and it wasn't even a big one!

Never been in an earthquake
But my parents lived in San Francisco in the late 50's and experienced a few tremors. Scared the hell out of them.

If they do things there
like they do down here. Now that they have the street all paved and nice they will have to come in and dig it all up to put in new pipes. I think that I might have slept through a couple in the LA area while I was driving a truck. People would be talking about them, but they just rocked me into a deeper sleep I guess.

Yes, Whacky...your description of trucks shaking the earth there sounds much like the feeling of an earthquake with sound. The real thing comes silently. I've been in 3 mild ones. The earth sort of rolls. During one of them, the refrigerator swayed; in another, empty closet hangers rattled; and in the third I was walking down a street and almost lost balance as earth rolled underfoot. During the latter two quakes, some homes received minor damage.

Fortunately, not.  However, I was in a plane that experienced some "slight turbulence" once.  And, let me tell you, those were some pretty harrowing 17 seconds.

I'll be stable."
