The traffic downtown is a tangled, unmoving mess! President Trump is supposed to arrive at our airport in an hour from now for a five-hour visit to Kansas City to speak at the VFW Convention for a half hour, a luncheon with those who are willing to fork out $10,000 support, and then fly away again....

Exhilarating Summertime
Seventy years ago it was hot in July...just as hot as it is now...hotter I do believe. It is hard to tell because then we didn't have air/conditioning....an oscillating window fan at night for sleep-aid was about the best we could do. We didn't have TV or computers and I don't remember people...
