The Smell of Rain

It has been a while since it has been dry enough long enough to bring petrichor to my senses when the rain begins. All my life through hot dry seasons, I have been stopped in my tracks, looked upwards and taken a deep and thankful breath when the rain begins. I love it. But, it does not happen often...
