It's a Lonely, Cold Night

Well, first entire day without my babies, and second night without them. It's weird. Lonely. I've spent eight years listening for their breathing, hearing their movements, stopping in on my way to bed to plant a kiss on a sleeper's cheek. Them not being here is just strange.
