A Life So Brittle

Our life is so brittle and so temporary. One minute you are hale and hearty and in the next you are gone forever. Two days ago we were sharing our home with a friend and three days later she was killed in a traffic accident. A Life So Brittle Downcast skies. Scattered leaves. Shriveled flowers.... Nostalgia

NOSTALGIA The mind trail to the end of a sentence. Then transfix. Then distance. A captivating word triggers a memory. My heart hammers my ribs, Threatening to burst free. Sweet memories float and dance. Then, fade into thin air. Sweet memories are smiles and longing sighs. Bitter memories are... Sign in to see full entry.

Pollution

Pollution Barely 50 years ago we washed our eyes with the morning dew. Today it would be an unthinkable in-lieu. Barely 50 years ago we drank from streams and rivers. Today you’d better be prepared for the worse. Barely 50 years ago we drank the rain water. Today it’s big risk and isn’t getting any... Sign in to see full entry.

Lust

Lust The torment and the longing desire. Being torn apart a torture. The excruciating pain Is surely a bane. Its an addiction. Togetherness is Heaven. Touching and caressing are the hope of life. But pay we must a certain price. Flowers must have bees. Sweet fragrance is sweet breeze. Love between... Sign in to see full entry.

Death of a Mouse Deer

Death of a Mouse Deer (I caught a baby mouse deer abandoned by its mother in the jungle of Perak, Malaysia and tried to nurse it back onto its feet but failed). A choke! A hiccup! The whites of the eyes. A rise and fall of the frail frame. The last aromatic jungle air was breathed in And the same... Sign in to see full entry.

Forget Me Not

Forget Me Not Forget me not. Not because of my deed as I have not. Nor because of my wealth, Which I never have, I swear. Or because I’m better educated. It doesn’t mean you’re less trusted. Forget me not. Remember we played the hide and seek? Remember when we picked the berries that coloured black... Sign in to see full entry.

Old is Gold

Old is Gold Being old doesn't give you the right to slow down. Being young doesn't mean you have to work all year round. Being hard-working doesn't mean you cannot rest. Being lazy is no excuse for being careless. Being old you must be vociferous, To guide the young wanderers. Your voices must be... Sign in to see full entry.

Forever Lost

Forever Lost Sixty short years had passed – magic. So much have changed – nostalgic. Many childhood friends and relatives had passed along. Only their deep and fond memories remain strong. Even the sky and the mountains that once were blue Are now somehow of different hue. Fifty years ago they held... Sign in to see full entry.

Father

Father Father dear. You were the Rock, Firm and unwavering even when mother left us. You’re like the Great River. Unchanged and eternally flowing. We couldn’t fathom your emotion. Nor turn around the situation. You were like the virgin forest. Keeping your feelings to yourself. I knew you must had... Sign in to see full entry.

Death in the Jungle

DEATH IN THE JUNGLE Cool breeze whispers among the leaves. Insects hum and dance in the sunlight That spears through the trees. A brook gurgles in the deafening silence. Birds call and sing in enchantment. A gust of wind brings withered leaves scattering down To the cold moist gloomy floor of the... Sign in to see full entry.
