I'm glad I have touched your heart string. I hope you can make up with your son. I loved my father but never had the chance to show him my love - he never gave me the opportunity. Life for us in this world is short and what ever we have left we must make the most out of it.

FATHER
Your poem was especially meaningful to me. I am the father whose wife died 20 years ago this month, and I, too, had a young son, whom I treated the same. The major difference is that I am still here. I did, so dreadfully, wish not to be so young parted!
