Paying the bills
I was able to make payment arrangements with the natural-gas company, precluding the need for me to contact my doctor to prove that disconnection of natural-gas services would aggravate my medical condition. I could prove it, in all probability, but I imagine our natural-gas company gets a lot of that kind of information from people looking to weasel out of paying their natural-gas or other heating bills.
