Crunch

Late 1990s. Mom, Ann and I were in Mom's Ford Expedition in the garage, ready to head out for some errands. Mom pulled forward and heard a crunch of some sort. The Cold Days at School

When I was in school, we did have plenty of bitter cold school days. Even so, none of them really stand out to me. It's not like we had any school days like there were in Baltimore last year, when the government couldn't afford to heat the schools, and kids froze. We were always warm inside and...
