Touch and Go

February 2021. We received the sad news in homeroom. Junior Ian Bayer was hospitalized. He went to the nurse's room the day before complaining of a headache. Fluid came out of his nose. He collapsed. When Ann was little, yogurt was a tough word to pronounce. She would call it yogreat (or would it be yograte?). It was funny when we would go to the mall. There was a yogurt stand in the food court. My favorite part of the schoolyear was tied between the beginning and end of it. In the beginning, I felt reinvigorated, ready to take on the upcoming tasks ahead better than I had the prior year.
