Thank you

for your very kind comments about my new anthology of poems ( www.fencreative.co.uk/poetry.html for further details) and especially to those of you who have paid to download it. I really hope you enjoy the words and images therein. I have to say it has really galvanised me to write much more -... Sign in to see full entry.

My first collection of poems

I had some poems published in hard-copy some years ago and have been writing on and off since then. I had a lovely mentor - Derek Hutchings - who was the father of Ivan's piano teacher at the time. He encouraged me to try and get published and his mantra was always 'poems are for reading not filing... Sign in to see full entry.

Working hard

It's been busy so far this week after a lovely, relaxing weekend in the sunshine - we've also had more rain to accompany the work effort: seems appropriate? I was at my main London client's office yesterday. All went well but I do find the internal politicing tedious and wasteful. I can see through... Sign in to see full entry.

Lovely Saturday

Today was a beautiful day in East Anglia - warm and sunny. Christian had his school prom yesterday as his high school days come to an end. It was a nice evening with girl in beautiful dresses and boys either unsure or too sure about their new suits! I think Christian had a great time judging by the... Sign in to see full entry.

It's not just about money

As you know, Susan runs a community ballet school whereby she goes out to the community and brings dance to the children. Ballet (and tap) isn't something these children would otherwise get to do as it would be too expensive and their parents wouldn't generally be prepared to travel. With my own web... Thank you

for all your kind comments concerning Karen Carpenter. I have to say it took me quite a while to get over it all on Saturday. The village had its annual Carnival parade where little children carried buckets proudly and positively beamed every time I and other householders emptied out our loose... Sign in to see full entry.

Karen Carpenter will always be a superstar to me

Susan has a pupil at her ballet school - she isn't the first and I'm sure won't be the last - who is only 13 and yet suffering the early signs of anorexia nervosa. Susan has been in talks with her mother - a well-meaning but ignorant, controlling kind of person - and suggested professional help.... Sign in to see full entry.

More web sightings

Firstly many thanks to all of you who commented on my new client site: Data Alive. I really value your feedback - especially as my immediate colleagues are so close to much of the work I do - and I know you will all be totally honest in our views. He is really pleased with it but is currently bogged... Sign in to see full entry.

Another day, another site

I've just created another site which has just gone live. Do take a look at Data Alive and let me know what you think? I'd love to have your feedback. I've known Roger, the owner, for more than fifteen years. We were both at Saatchi & Saatchi and now work as consultants for the IPA in London. Roger... Sign in to see full entry.

Summer time and the living is...

Had a good meeting this afternoon with a client whose Trainsform site I created and told you about. I have set up a Twitter account for her, which will also feed the site; in a few weeks' time we'll build a blog for her and then a Facebook Fans page. I'm concerned that we don't rush things too...
