What does the Day After Christmas mean to you?

Is it Boxing Day, where you live? What does that--Boxing Day--mean to you? I've heard it's the day in old England when servants of a household were given clay boxes with gifts inside, usually money. The serialized novel

I'm thinking of offering my long-neglected novel in serial form, through a publisher that features serialized on-line material. Anyone have any experience with this? a new prompt: Types

I was buying a limp plant the other day... it is a croton, usually an upright sort of potted shrub, but this is a hanging version. At least, the leaves are long and hang from upright stems, and this one is in a hanging pot. It was limp from lack of regular watering, and so I got a good deal on it.... Sign in to see full entry.

CC noticed a hat in one of my pictures, so I have posted a few more views of my hat rack. I collect hats for costume use, and I make hats, and sometimes there's just a hat I really like. New Words

Have you heard, or made any new words lately? My favorite new one is the uncalled-for but irresistable bit of snippiness and superiority: snarkasm.
