speaking of Tornado preparedness...

And today in the past hour there was in fact a tornado warning for Colorado Springs, from the Airforce Academy ~5 miles north of here, south about 15 miles, and eastwards about another 15 miles. It was about a 20 minute window, the warning. Cat got into her carrier unwillingly, the closet was cleared of extraneous furnishings, bird cage was taken off its stand next to the picture window and set down on the floor in a safer spot protected from breaking glass, at least... purse, this pc were taken... New Day, New Week

Yesterday started out murky with wildfire residue in the air that made the sunlight murky and orange-ish. It went on to become hot, in the 90s, until late in the afternoon when rumbles in the sky heralded relief. It rained then, off and on, cooling and clearing the air, into the night. This morning is brighter, and the temps are supposed to top out below 80F. I hope your morning is brighter and cooler, too!
