The hail that didn't

Afternoon thundershowers...

Dark clouds sailing slowly across the sky in our general direction... reports of big hail coming from friends here in the Springs... I've brought all the outdoor potted plants inside or covered them with wire mesh baskets. Charlie has taken the rubber floor mats and tarps and covered the windshields. Surely these preparations will prevent any hail from actually landing. Big hail won't hurt us, forewarned as we are, but it will shred the big maple tree, I fear. There is nothing I can do to...
