Big V Mumbles About Something

Tuesday, January 15, 2019

Another day with temps hovering near 30 F. That won't last long. Over the weekend, we will see highs of about 4... maybe 5. Lows will be well below zero. I'm off to a slow start today, but things will kick in soon. Too many phone calls to really be able to work on writing. The cell will be shut off... Sign in to see full entry.

I spent the day reorganizing two of the novels in progress that I relocated. While I didn't make big strides, I did manage to edit about 8,000 words of a murder story that I wrote based on a man that I knew before he committed these horrific crimes, without knowing it was him at the time, I also... This is gonna be a do nothing day. It's finally closing in on thirty degrees again for a day or two. I say that, but sitting still and doing nothing aren't my forte. I have to get back to writing more or I will go crazy. Too much stuff keeps popping up, keeping me from writing until the hunger is... Sign in to see full entry.

This is a post that I am writing to myself. You are not required to read further. As I was cleaning up my old and new offices, I stumbled across a note my wife had left to herself as she struggled for her sanity. I once asked her how she could see anything on her computer through the jungle of... Sign in to see full entry.

Number One! Again!

"Things My Father Taught Me" has been selling very well over the holidays, and when I checked it a bit ago... it was #1 in its genre! I was doing a bit more file cleaning, and I found this little tid-bit that I originally wrote as the beginning of a romance story back in 1996. I've added it to the file of "NEXT!" Down and Drowning In America Larry was late getting out of work, and despite the fact they needed the money from the... Sign in to see full entry.

Another 'colder than raccoon crap' day. It's January in da UP, so it is to be expected. I was going through some of the lines I was going to use in "The Brick," and found this one. I should have used it. I intended to use it, but I didn't. What ya gonna do? 'People will go in and out of your life,... Sign in to see full entry.

I started doing some clean up work on my main computer this morning. One of the things that I wanted to do was gather up all of the stray Word files of stories in progress, put them into one file, and then back them up via my email storages. I have about a dozen Gmail accounts, most of which were... Sign in to see full entry.

It got down to three below here last night with a steady 15 mph breeze off Superior. Even Buster, my big black dog with his heavy coat didn't want to stay outside long this morning. Instead, all three are play fighting in the living room of the basement. I mentioned yesterday that I had three murder... Sign in to see full entry.
