It is very quiet here today, kind of cool with a fairly steady breeze. My kind of day. Just a couple phone calls to make and the rest of the day is mine. My next story is kind of twisted and very convoluted and this kind of day makes it easier to sit and contemplate of how and where to start. I... Sign in to see full entry.

I Finally Got It Covered!
Well, it's been raining hard here today with lots of lightning, but I write on! I finally got my graphics dude to get me a cover for "The Mercurial." Take a look and let me know what you think. Thanks! V Sign in to see full entry.

It's A Beautiful Day In The Neighborhood!
A beautiful day out so far this morning. They are calling for rain but the radar shows it going well to the north of us. I have a couple small errands to do about noon that will take up about three hours, but short of that, I'll be working on the start of a new story for my "Ramblings" section. I... Big V Highly Recommends...
For those who enjoy a good murder mystery show, I can't recommend "The Night Of," a show by HBO highly enough. Excellent writing and the video would have made the pioneer and master of mystery videographers, Alfred Hitchcock proud. Excellent all the way around. None of this Agatha Christie crap of... It Bugs Me
I've got to be off and running shortly, but I see more headlines about clown figures creeping around towns and people being terrified. I've never understoof the 'fear of clowns' people have. If Stephen King hadn't killed the clown story market with "It," I'd do one, but I know that the minute it... Sign in to see full entry.

The Writing Will Continue Despite The Holiday!
While I'll be filling in a a photographer at my old race track venue this weekend, a two day holiday affair, I'm going to continue to post material over in my fiction blog. I'm hoping that by no later than Tuesday, I'll have posted the last of "The Mercurial." Not that I'm tired of it, just want to... Sign in to see full entry.

Just Chilling
A friend fell off a ladder yesterday and he called me from his cell phone to rescue him. He had a broken arm, collar bone, and a few ribs. I am with him at the hospital so they can apply the permanent cast. As much damage as he did, it could have been much worse. Sign in to see full entry.

Finished... Or So It Seems
Well, this day veered away from what I intended to do after my walk. Nothing serious, but I hate it when people who live 40-50 miles away just show up, unannounced and expect to be 'entertained.' If they had called, I could have done several things different and I would have enjoyed their visit, but... Sign in to see full entry.
I'll Say Hello To Christoher Robin
A nice day before school starts tomorrow so I am going to take Johnny and Bruce, my two grandsons out for a walk in the "hundred acre wood" (that is actually only 39 acres) on this last day of freedom. John is going into second grade and Bruce is now a junior in high school. Smart young men both.... Sign in to see full entry.

A Peanuts Kind of Day
"It was a dark and stormy night..." the opening line to the novel that 'Snoopy' of "Peanuts" fame always used. When I was young, I had every single book that Charles Schulz ever published. If I was to be truthful, I was kind of a mix of Charlie Brown and Linus, but also a wildly imaginative version... Sign in to see full entry.
