The Yooper (local lingo the the words "Upper Peninsula resident" - 'UP'er'... get it?) weather report tells me that it is almost 60 outside, heading to 70 degrees, a bit better than they forecast a few days back. I've got about ten too many things on my 'to do' list, so I've got to get going on it,... Sign in to see full entry.

And I'm back. While nothing went wrong, a lot of stuff didn't go right. Most days, I live a charmed life. Saturday wasn't one of those days. We lost a camera just as the National Anthem began to play, causing me to run the 250 yard dash in about 35 seconds. It went downhill from there. I guess the... Sign in to see full entry.

I intended to be out the door over an hour ago, but the guy that I was supposed to meet downstate about 1PM sent me an email during the night to say that he couldn't meet me until 3:30 today. This allowed me to do a few things here and elsewhere. It's supposed to hit 80 here today. Incredible,... Sign in to see full entry.

It's finally beginning to warm up here, with temps expected in the higher 70's today and for the weekend, but never fear, we'll be back in the upper 50's and lower 60's by Monday! I went for a walk this morning with the dogs and it'ssafe to say that a good time was had by all. Many of the areas that... Sign in to see full entry.

As I noted some place here yesterday in a mini-rant, I had been notified that the e-book was available and had no more than gotten the email telling me that my paperback had been updated and was for sale, I discovered that I had uploaded the very last 'working copy' instead of the proper... It's supposed to hit the low 70's here today, the 75th anniversary of D-Day. My Father was one of the 'mop up crews' that landed on the Omaha beach the second day after the initial invasion. He was also one of a lucky few that served 14 months and was never injured or even cut. I think that's where... Sign in to see full entry.

Oh Beavis! I had this section all filled out earlier and I thought I had hit 'submit,' but apparently it 'didn't take.' After a rain that started falling about 2AM last night quit about noon, I went out on a hike around the forest with the dogs. The mosquitoes are out en mass, making life a bit more... I was just notified that the e-book version of "The Totally Unnecessary Death of Amanda Dawn" has been released. Sign in to see full entry.

It's been a bit more than 12 hours since I sent up my revised version of my rewrite of a story I first put out in late 2017. Forgive the 'yeah me' biz, but I had forgotten how good this story was. I had also forgot how much emotional hurt it caused me to write it. It won the February 2018 "Book of... Sign in to see full entry.

I finally finished the re-write of 'The Totally Unnecessary Death of Amanda Dawn' and I have uploaded the new e-book version of it. Usually, these are approved and in place in a matter of 12 hours. Usually. I also formatted the book version and submitted it. They tell you that the paperback... Sign in to see full entry.
