We had a lot of fun last night at the restaurant. After we ate, the wife and I spent over an hour dancing. We were the first couple on the floor when the music started, and we didn't leave until it began to get a bit crowded. Would we ever have made it on the old Lawrence Welk program? Not a chance,... Wow, I'm not sure what's happening in the city, but I'm hearing at least a dozen different sirens headed east out of town. This area has many bad car accidents for a small city. The local newspaper will report two to six car fatalities every week. Of course, I've seen how a few of these people drive... Sign in to see full entry.

An old saying goes something like this: "You can run, but you can't hide. " It got down to 29 here last night. We stayed warm, but man, it was cold! It has 'warmed up' to 49. The wife wants to go out for late lunch/early dinner tonight with my brother and his wife, Sue. I don't know when that will... Sign in to see full entry.

I didn't sleep all that well last night due to the squeaking and moaning of the pups in our bedroom. Lisa never had any children, but I had two, and I was conditioned to 'go check' on them when I heard them squeaking. They are doing very well, and so is Mama. I THINK I have an appointment in... Happy New Year!
It's cold for Florida. It dropped to 34 last night, and we are looking for a high of 59 today. Last night, it got 'officially' dark here at ~6:05. The fireworks began to go crazy in the neighborhood at ~6:07. My big 140# dog is currently under my writing desk. The pups? The noise doesn't fathom them... Sign in to see full entry.

Good New Year's Eve morning! It is super foggy outside. To give you a little more context, the distance from our back porch to our back fence is roughly 120 feet, and I can't see the fence. FOGGY! I don't know how you will celebrate the new year, but Lisa and I will stay home and watch a few old... Sign in to see full entry.

Good morning. We had a quiet weekend here in the 'armpit of Florida,' and I took full advantage of it. Between Friday evening and Sunday night, I added 11,500+ words to my latest novel, "That Russian Guy Down the Road." Yesterday, we went out for a simple breakfast and then walked around the lake in... Sign in to see full entry.

I meant to get back here much sooner than this, but between writing and packing most of our stuff, we have been busy. I have tentatively bought another house waaaaay out in the sticks. We are confident enough to begin moving our 'extra belongings' to the new place. This house is the only house for... Sign in to see full entry.

Merry Christmas!
It's been a while... not by design, but by necessity. I've been on a torrid hot streak with my writing, and when, as the old song said, " When you're hot, you're hot! " My "Russian Guy" story is moving along, and I've started and or picked up three other stories I had started earlier in 2024 but had... Sign in to see full entry.

I rarely have dreams that I remember. Everybody dreams, but many of us never remember them. I vividly remember this dream, and after I think it through, I will post about it. It wasn't a horrific dream, but it related to a day I had forgotten about, but I remember it now. Poignant is the best word... Sign in to see full entry.
