We were finally able to get the car out of the driveway and my 'plow-guy' cleaned out my drive. I spent about an hour yesterday shoveling snow, and another 45 minutes this morning. I gotta get out of here, and soon. I'm in good physical condition, but shoveling snow that I should have never even... Sign in to see full entry.

We Survived!
Whew! We have survived a massive blizzard, although I think it will take a bit to dig out. I took a team of dogs out, and after twenty minutes, we found the car. It took me about half an hour to clear the vehicle of the snow that covered it and open the door on the car. It started right up, and I... Sign in to see full entry.

Your 'On The Spot Weather Man!' & the Story Begins to Wind Down
The snow began to fall in earnest about 10 last night, and once it did, it has yet to stop. I'm not sure if and when it is going to stop at this minute. The wind has picked up substantially in the past hour, meaning that we could lose power again very soon, so I'll pump this out as quickly as I can.... Sign in to see full entry.

With the storm gathering, I am attempting to get in as much material as possible. I have told Lisa that if she wants to post here tonight, she needs to get in my office and do it! LOL. We'll see what happens! In the meantime, here is something to think about. In three words, I can sum up everything... Sign in to see full entry.
Plotting & Pantsing & More Story
Despite the power being off more than it was on last night, we stayed warm and safe. It looks like we got roughly eight inches of new snow just glancing out the window. The forecast calls for a decent day in the low thirties, but much after five this afternoon, things begin to get crazy again. There... Sign in to see full entry.

Snow, Snow, and More Snow - and oh, More Story
As far as winter mornings in the north area go, this was a decent start. It is about 26 outside, with a high of 28 expected. The other expected thing is another five to ten inches of snow today and up to a foot on Saturday. Yippie. /sarcasm We are on the verge of just shutting down the house and... This is from a friend of mine on Facebook. It has some naughty words in it, but it sums up winter in the Upper Peninsula. Dear Diary: Aug. 12 - Moved into our new home in the U.P. It is so beautiful here. The hills and creeks are so picturesque. I have a beautiful old oak tree in my front yard. Can... Sign in to see full entry.
I forgot. This event happens tonight. You don't need to have a Twitter account to be active in the discussion. These are generally quite informative and fun. To listen, you have to click on the link about one minute into the show to catch it right. This is a Blog Talk Radio issue that has just... Sign in to see full entry.
I woke up about seven this morning, something quite unusual for me, and one of the first things I did was check my cell for the temperature outside. Minus three. The wind was very light, but three below is still cold. It's supposed to warm up to near thirty, and then remain with daily highs in the... Sign in to see full entry.
