Grand Haven Lighthouse "Gales of November"

This was taken about three years ago right about this time of the year in 2019. Lake Superior is well known for its temper tantrums, but Lake Michigan can be a big baby, too! Sign in to see full entry.

Heaven's Light Over Superior

I've done this shot here before, but I had to retrieve it for personal reasons, and thought as long as I had it up, I'd post it again. For those who remember the story of how I rediscovered Lisa in late 2018 and then as we began to get extremely close... I began to worry about what my late wife Judy... Sign in to see full entry.

Last Light - Orange Light

I got some nice shots just before this shot, but I liked this one best. I took several after this one, but the sun was sinking too fast, and they were far too dark. Sign in to see full entry.

Superior Beach Near Munising Michigan

I'm going to attempt to start posting photos back on my server. I always could post them there, but it was my plan to shut the thing down this fall, but a few things have changed... for now. EDIT... and now I remember why it took longer to do it this way! Dropbox auto-sized the photo. My server... Sign in to see full entry.

Angry Superior Near The Black Rocks 2

I have several hundred shots like this. The waves are running 25 to 3t feet and the sound is deafening... but music to my ears! Check it out! Sign in to see full entry.

Building The Nest

This was a young pair of eagles building what might have been their first nest or their first nest together. These birds had seen me before as I used to hang out in the forest for two to three hours every day, but when it came to something that was being driven beyond their conscious minds, they... Mackinac Island Looking Back at The Lower Peninsula In The Fall

This was our last trip to Mackinaw Island last fall. We are heading south toward the street that runs along the southern side of the island. The land mass in the background is the Lower Peninsula about nine miles away. Check it out! Sign in to see full entry.

Brockway Mountain Sunset On The Keweenaw Peninsula

The thing that struck me most about the Upper Peninsula was the diversity of scenery. The eastern end was "flatter,' almost tame, but the further west you went, the flat areas became hills and valleys, and then mountains. This shot was taken near Copper Harbor at the northern tip of the Keweenaw... Sign in to see full entry.

Canoe In The Mist

I took this photo back in the summer of 2016/ We had camped near a fairly large lake, and I was just getting up to stir the campfire when I spotted this canoe floating free in the water. I grabbed my camera and took several dozen shots from multiple angles, but I liked this one the best. Check it... Sign in to see full entry.

Coming In For The Kill

This was both an amazing shot and an amazingly lucky shot. I was at a small lake in the early summer that wasn't very deep. I noticed a number of eagles circling the shore for several minutes, and I was trying to grab a shot of one of them in flight when I saw this young male go out over the center...
