This BIG female Snowy Owl was just getting rested up from her flight from the Arctic Circle to the UP of Michigan. She seems to be telling me to watch what she is about to do next. This is a piebald eagle in the process of building a nest. This was taken in early 2017. By the time we left the UP last year about this time, we were beginning to see two or three more such birds.
