The title of this photo segment is a variation on a theme from the Stephen King Book, 'Full Dark, No Stars.' (It was a decent set of stories, but not his best.) Anyway... This was one of my favorite places to visit when I lived in the UP. See that reddish area to the left of center that is a small blotch of red where the sky and the water meet? My dad had this thing about waking me up every morning to start the farm chores where he would turn my bedroom light on and tell me, "Come on, Doc! It's daylight in the swamps!"
