Pelicans

pelicans slide on the filigree of salty thread that floats above the pounding rows of waves playing follow the leader with skill and grace remnants of the pre-historic miniature feathered pterodactyls drifting silently in the space between the restless winds and the secrets of the timeless seas... Pookas

Pookas! You don’t see them- they see you. They’re watching everything you do, they steal your change and hide your keys, or boost a sock each time you sneeze, and turn your memory into swiss cheese. Pookas! Oh they can make computers crash, they’ll send your bill-pay to the trash, and cancel your... Sign in to see full entry.

The Farmer's

Well the farmer's bucktooth daughter played the banjo like a pro, she'd make it ring and rattle till the strings would seem to glow-- the 'ole rooster would sing background from his perch up on the rail, he'd harmonize right with the girl and together they would wail... well the razorback from down... Ancient Woman

At Heceta Head (Devils Elbow) where I was a ranger there are two large lava rocks just outside the tide line. The actual names for these rocks are "Conical Rock" and, " Sugarloaf Rock". Those are two of the stupidest and least discriptive names ever -- I hate those names. To me they are the Wizards... Sign in to see full entry.
