'Off-Days' Apparently Not Good For Special Work Projects

I found myself standing alone, without fellow team members. I have worked with a small crew of coworkers to organize an area at work. Today, an off-day for my crew, was supposed to be an occasion where we who were working on the same project would present to workers from other shifts what was... Sign in to see full entry.

A Quick Clinic On Colors And Advertising

One of the products produced by the food company where I work has suffered a significant drop in sales--ever since the carton designed was changed. Therefore, the company has set out to put stickers on the packaging stating that it is the same great product but with a new look. I am not sure that... Sign in to see full entry.

Insoles Are A Key Part To Foot Care

In regard to feet problems of late, I am glad I eventually considered my insoles. My insoles to my work shoes were terribly worn out. Implications Of The Dictionary Definition Of Radical

Twice today, once in church Bible study and once on the radio, I heard someone explain that "radical" means "going to the roots." I looked in a dictionary to verify. Sure enough, the dictionary indicates the word stems from Latin, radic-/radix meaning "root." Furthermore, the first definition states... Sign in to see full entry.

Why There Are Park Rules

A man in Alaska was mauled by a grizzly bear. I heard the news that he was visiting a national park and disobeyed the rules not to stray off from the designated path or place of safety. He came up close to a grizzly bear to videotape it. This he did for eight minutes. Then he was mauled. There is a... Sign in to see full entry.

First Basil Harvest

This morning I tasted my first home-grown basil. Over the past couple of growing seasons, I have steadily ventured to growing plants even though I still regard myself as a purple thumb. Early in the season, I bought basil seeds and grew them. But I had no idea how one is supposed to harvest herbs... Sign in to see full entry.

I have had: Rabbit--tastes like chicken Squirrel--tastes like chicken, but is too tough and nutty Pheasant--a nice grainy taste Alligator--tastes like chicken, but is too rubbery Beef tongue--with horseradish sauce, it...
