This One Should Have Been Posted AGES Ago!

One of the first blogs I ever read on BN was Whim 's Opinionated Critic. The main reason I read it was because, when I created my blog, Opinionated Bitch, I honestly thought I would be the only "opinionated" one. Then, lo and behold, as soon as my blog was created and I was taken back to the main... Sign in to see full entry.

John

John was my first boyfriend. But before that, John was my friend, my confidant, the one person I could call when I needed anything-- a ride, a hug, a shoulder to cry on. And John put up with a lot of shit from me that he never deserved. Still, he stuck by me. For that alone, he ranks high on my list... Sign in to see full entry.

Just A Note

I have changed the name of this blog from Friends and Family I Love to People I Love And/Or Admire. I feel that the new name better reflects the purpose of this blog. I plan to redo some of the posts here as well since I don't feel they are my best writing. Stay tuned for new and better posts! Sign in to see full entry.

BN's One And Only, Pecanflower

I have made a few friends here on BN. And I cherish them all. They will all end up in this blog at some point. Today I want to talk about Pecanflower. The first time she posted a comment to one of my blogs I just knew she was someone special. She showed her heart through her words. And ever since,... Sign in to see full entry.

Liane

Liane is my best friend. A pretty, Japanese girl with a brain to kill for. She is smart, generous, and funny. Liane and I have known each other all our lives, but we really got close in high school. For some reason, Liane migrated to me when she began having problems with her boyfriend. We'd talk... Sign in to see full entry.

The Angel Tony

I lost my cousin, Tony, when I was in the ninth grade. He was a year and five months older than me. We lived in different states, but we were as close as could be. HOW CUTE, YEAH??? Tony was my rock. The one I could confide in. He was the one I made future plans with: We'd share an apartment, talk... Sign in to see full entry.

One of the BEST Storytellers Ever!

Sadly, a local great passed away today from a bout with cancer. He was Glen Grant, a collector and teller of chilling ghost tales of Hawai`i. I was fortunate enough to have been on a few of his ghost telling tours and spoke with him once in his ghost/supernatural book store. He was a great man.... Sign in to see full entry.

Gramma -- Times Two

This one you have seen in OB and in Poems that move me. Enjoy! Grandma Though we are separated by an ocean, I see you daily. Your sweet face, curly white hair still streaked with black, your huggable body. But what I see most vividly are your hands. Your long, slender fingers I have watched many a... For Daddy

I originally posted this OB, but I think it fits better here. Father’s Day, 2003 June 15, 2003 For Daddy I have so many memories of you, Dad. Your weird sense of humor, your laugh, your ukubillion sneezes, one after the next after the next, your conducting the MSO. But what I remember most fondly... Sign in to see full entry.
