Writing is Like Reading, No? Here is a contest to enter.

Travel around the world, visit ten booksellers in ten cities and then come home, two people.....plus $2,000 to buy books or food. I would take an empty suitcase with two outfits to wear and buy books, not food.... Go to http:/www.abebooks.com and request a code number to be sent to your email box,... Sign in to see full entry.

I Haven't Been Writing About Anyone.........

I sure have missed writing about anything. I have been making cd photo shows with music added for all family occasions, thus gaining a new reputation as a visual artist. Ha!! My camera failed me at the Trade Show in Phoenix, but I made a cd photo show of washed out photos with Mr. Arrow's Bills To... Sign in to see full entry.

My friend's mother gave me three audio books, Jackie Collins and the like. I listened and gave them to the library. I put off listening to the last one, A SEASON BEYOND A KISS by Kathleene Woodiwiss because of the cover art, a man and woman clinging, sort of. Sigh. I was afraid of the vocabulary in... How to Get Your Child to Love Reading

I have found the book that I have been searching for. It is written by Esme’ Raji Codell and reading it is like hearing her in person. Her young enthusiasm and joy and love of books and their possibilities jump out of her words and fill up the reader. The book is titled, How to Get Your Child to... Sign in to see full entry.

May I steal someone else's story and ask you to comment in Chinese?

The New York Times newspaper had a story, actually a blurb on the editorial page, today that got to me. I was reading it in the hospital waiting for my African son to have a CTI Scan of his lungs. The story is titled, A Chinese Journalist in Peril, and is about a fellow named Zhao Tan who works for... Sign in to see full entry.
