My baby in the Navy, just retired this year...

My second son here.....photo on webshots... He's the one in the middle, front, funny sunglasses, Lance Armstrong, I think. I know nothing of sunglasses, only a bit about sons, but not much. Here is my baby at work, at sea, China Seas, slavers and drug boats and other contraband, stopped at sea. OOPS, checked on the link and read that this photo was taken in the Persian Gulf, tho' he also worked the China seas. Proud and so happy that he came home and retired safely into America's dangerous... Sign in to see full entry.

There is this older and newer form of Flash Mob activity that is just so

entertaining. Kids call each other on phones, meet up with one activity in mind and do it and then disperse, hopefully before the police come. Advertising agencies are jumping on the bandwagon, see my Grandma's World blog for the ad from Antwerp, and there is one in London, I believe. Kids are recreating the ads or coming up with art things, like FREEZE, or just playing like these kids here. I like group activity, tribal dancing and spontaneous, half spontaneous, it appears, fun. Hope you do,... Sign in to see full entry.

Been a bit too blue this week and soooooooooooooooo

this video says, Chega de saudades........saudades are longings, blues, missing things in heavy sentimentality...... Chega means, ENOUGH. So, stop it, enough of the blues already. Though he sings it so sweetly, it brings more saudades. Sigh........... Sign in to see full entry.

Sweet Honey in the Rock makes me know that most women are

superior to most men. Was that a prejudiced thing to say? Sure. I am a woman and that makes me choose sides. Heh. These ladies served as an international example for younger groups like Zap Mama in Europe. See my garden blog for their sound. Sign in to see full entry.

I believe that Blogiteers are twittering and other handheld stuff and

earning money and not playing here as often. My new theory. I have gone over to facebook, as Blogit is now just a social place for me and not really a writing place anymore. So, I am socializing there with family and old friends and being found by ancient hippie companions, etc. People are bailing online sites everywhere for twitter now. I am playing my Bill Wither's and Barry White and James Brown records all day today, on the Sooooooooooooooul Train for a day trip. Sign in to see full entry.

Here is where you can see it. There are islands of plastic debris the size of Texas off the US and the Japanese coasts, thanks US NAVY and cruise ships and there are other things that are totally threatening the life that we love. Watch and learn. Sign in to see full entry.
