Comments on Car Keys, Oh Where Art Thou?

I'm OCD about keys in general

and I can't help but think that life would be so serene if everywhere I had to go was just there, if my extended family shared a ten bedroom apartment with me in a collegial household where doors are closed but not locked and there is almost always someone staying in when you go out, as you stay in when they go out.

Love your poem! And I wouldn't want to get a key that's smarter than I am...

LOL!

I am famous for setting my glasses down someplace.  I can't tell you how many times I would ask my daughter if she had seen my glasses and her response was "Do you mean the ones on your face?"

It is between the couch cushions at the dentist office, but the key is not in it.

I solved that problem by putting so many other keys on the holder with the car keys it's impossible not to know where they are. Well, nearly. LOL

The odd thing is...

After I wrote that, I couldn't find my wallet! I did however, know where the keys were.

Funny stuff! I think technology should get it together so that we can whistle and the electronic we want would respond! Wait, how many different whistles would we have to program! Forget I said that! My idea it this:

Comfort me with cabbages.
My brain's not screwed in tight.
Help me plug my ears in case it
wanders out of sight.

With cabbage in my left
and a corkscrew in my right,
I might come out of this
and find my keys before it's night!

Taken from Greatheart and the Brain Drain! By Dr. Seuss. Most of it is his I just added
the last two lines! lol I hope you find them soon! sam
