Thomas Paine - pillar of the state.
I have just been reading a post by malcolm in which he mentions Thetford and its links with Thomas Paine. I've been to Thetford a number of times, more specifically to Thetford Chase, the woodlands around it, and don't remember seeing the statue. It did, however, remind me of the Lincolnshire town...
