Genocide, Slavery and Religious Intolerance in the Bible?

A recent article compared the morality of the Bible’s time with the morality of today. In the Bible genocide (Joshua 6:21), slavery (Genesis 9:25), the killing of slaves - as long as it is a slow death - (Exodus 21:20-21) and religious intolerance (1 Kings 18: 17 – 40 – 450 prophets of another God are killed) were all acceptable acts.
