Bloggers vote for their favorites..........................................

Well, not to toot my own horn, but George Allen -- my candidate for 2008, has doubled his support among conservatives, according to this year's CPAC poll. Allen scored 22%, up from 11 % in last year's poll. Senator John McCain, who tied Allen last year at 11%, rose to a surprising 20% this year. He isn't supposed to do that well among conservatives. Giuliana dropped to third place among conservatives with 12% and Condi dropped to fourth place, with 10%. -- kingmi Here are the results: George... Sign in to see full entry.

Bloggers' Faith is Motivating: Mistaking the Trigger for the Gun

http://www.afji.com/story.php?F=1444315_0206 While the American Government attempts to avoid an outright clash with Islam as an entire entity; while the State Department continues to do business in a free market economy, the leaders of Islam continue to use religion as a reason and a rallying point for their fatwah against the West. Very enlightened reading n this editorial from today's Armed Forces Journal -- The Thinking Officer's Magazine. Enjoy! -Kingmi Sign in to see full entry.

These Teen bloggers get whatever they want, and respect me for it..........

http://www.realclearpolitics.com/Commentary/com-2_10_06_DW.html Every time we refuse a radical Muslim demand, by sticking to our sound Western principles, we strengthen reasonable Muslims against the fanatics. Every time we relent, we strengthen the fanatics. I guess this is the same argument as saying that the children can do whatever they want, whenever they want, and that no restrictions will bring up responsible and caring, creative adults. Well, they may wind up being caring and creative,... Sign in to see full entry.

Blogger-in-Chief in his own words..........................................

The following is the second half of President Bush's speech today, January 9, 2006... On September the 11th, 2001, our nation saw that vast oceans and great distances could no longer keep us safe. I made a decision that day -- that America will not wait to be attacked again. (Applause.) And since that day, we've taken decisive action to protect our citizens against new dangers. We're hunting down the terrorists using every element of our national power -- military, intelligence, law enforcement,... Sign in to see full entry.

This blogger calls it outrage and appeasement, not a clash of civilizations

http://www.nationalreview.com/script/printpage.p?ref=/comment/harris200602070750.asp And if you think about it he is right. Where is the clash? It's them setting fires and us putting them out. It's them throwing molotov cocktails and us putting them in jail. It's them burning the Danish flag and us going, "ho-hum!" It reminds me of what my mother used to say, whenever I came home wanting a strategy to stay out of fights at school: sticks and stones will break my bones but names will never harm... This blogger has it figured out............................................

Syria also retains considerable influence in Beirut, where the rioting was not spontaneous. Syria would love to distract attention from the UN probe into the assassination of Lebanese politician Rafik Hariri, in which Syria is implicated. Iran has been, after Saudi Arabia, the nation most active in promoting the boycott. The International Atomic Energy Agency has referred Iran to the UN Security Council for possible sanctions against its nuclear weapons program. The nation that will chair the... I swear I did not read this before I made my comment about 1492 Spain......

Three things of historical importance happended in Spain in 1492. The first was the national union between Ferdinand and Isabella. Uniting their two kingdoms in essence unified Spain. Second was the funding of Columbus' mission to the Indies. The third was the final expulsion of the Moors from Spain, touted as Spain's final battle against the Saracens. Ferdinand's ancestral namesake was St. Ferdinand 3. Europe forgets, but Islam remembers. The popularity, and resonance, in the Arab world, of... Sign in to see full entry.
