Speak when spoken to...
When I was young, it was not ok to speak at all around adults unless they talked directly to me first. I was to remain quiet until I was spoken to. This was especially important at the dinner table. NO ELBOWS! I do recall that when I was getting older, (pre-teenish) it was not enforced as much.... Sign in to see full entry.
