I am a lifelong biter. I bite pens, pencils, my fingernails; if I'm not chewing on objects, I want food in my mouth. And now I find that my son puts everything in his mouth. Toys, fingers, books -- he, too, absent-mindedly puts things in his mouth, just like I do. If I understand Freudian theory...
