Tired Today- Again!

Despite another sleep late day (I don't know what's wrong with me), I managed to do a bit of work and go to Scrabble. I got 3 new books for the Ugandans while I was at the library. I might sign up for a poetry workshop being held on Fridays in February there as well. I don't know yet. Now I watching... Sign in to see full entry.

Snowy Morning Musings

I'm awake for some reason (it's about 7:45 AM here- way to early for me to be anywhere but bed usually). It's been snowing for something like 15 hours straight here (now its heavy again, although my night owl PCA says it lightened up in the pre-dawn hours) and we have about 2 feet of accumulation so... My Snow Day Sloth

I'm sitting in my house, cozy in the midst of a big snow storm and having just eaten the entire last row of a package of cookies. I've spent all day sleeping, eating, watching TV, and surfing the internet-- nothing too productive except for figuring out my PCA's timesheets (18.25 hours paid back and... Bummed But Still Counting My Blessings (or Trying to At Least Remember To)

I've a bit of a sore throat and I'm awaiting a big snow storm (boo!). At least Robin will be back on Monday and we can work on the design stuff for my campaign. I can't believe it'll cost nearly $2000 to send a simple postcard to every active voter in Belchertown! No wonder everyone on the Board of... Sign in to see full entry.

Good News!

I received my first campaign contribution (I’m still over $10 in debt- boo)! I got the mailing ready, thanks to Robbie and Sahar. It’ll go out tomorrow after I drop it at the post office. Then I’ll go to town hall and get the active voter list and go to visit the place I want to have the fundraising... Sign in to see full entry.

Odd Hump Day

Today, thus far, was weird, productive but weird. I was a little ill this morning, but recovered by this afternoon. I spoke to Peter Vickery, another local Progressive candidate who has run for office and actually won. He gave me good advice. Namely, not to by lots of ads in newspaper or TV media,... Productive Tuesday

I did a lot today, especially on the campaign, even though I took a long nap and missing a special town meeting that I forgot about ( boo, how irresponsible of me! ). I went to the post office to discuss doing a bulk mailing for the campaign. I decided to go with postcards because printing a 200... Sign in to see full entry.

My MLK Day ' 05

It's below zero here. I'm glad that I'm living in a nice warm house and really worried that some homeless person will freeze (it happened last year in Springfield- the big city near here). I had a nap earlier and I'm now wide awake. I was looking into flights to DC for my friend Elaine, who has a... Sign in to see full entry.

A Bit Blue, But Pushing Through

I had a productive morning, cleaning up a bit and collecting some more things for the Ugandans (including some great girls' clothes at 70% off because Lord and Taylor is closing). Now, however, I'm bored. Odd, since I am supposed to be having my campaign meeting now, but sadly no one came. I was... Sign in to see full entry.

Good Day!!

I went and tabled (collected money and supplies while talking about the project) for the Ugandans today in front of a local toy store. It was freezing, but I kept telling myself that if Martin Luther King could walk to Memphis to Montgomery in the blistering sun for justice, I could certainly sit... Sign in to see full entry.
