My dog died today

Actually, we think he died last night. He was the little grey dog we adopted several years ago. We kind of rescued him, because the people who owned him were going to ship him across the country in the middle of summer to the only people they knew who wanted him, so we offered to take him. We lived... Sign in to see full entry.

Girls' Day Out

This is the Baby Bunny's last week of vacation before school begins, so we're trying to cram in as much fun as we can. Yesterday she was supposed to play at a friend's house and I planned to chip away at the ever-growing pile of work at which I'm falling behind, but then I found out that her... Labeling Software Recommendation

If any of you like putting nice labels on your music and data CDs and hate struggling with the hokey, wonky label programs out there, try the Sure Thing CD/DVD labeler. It's extremely easy to "do your own thing" with this program, and so far the software hasn't been wacky at all. I bought mine at... Sign in to see full entry.

Supermarket Coupon Mystery

It never fails. If I buy Tropicana, I get a register coupon for Minute Maid. If I buy Northern, I get a coupon for Charmin. Buy Gortons, get Mrs. Paul's. Buy Marie Callendar, get Sarah Lee. The supermarket seems desperate to get me to switch brands. They never encourage me to buy what I've bought... Sign in to see full entry.

Public service, indeed!

I'm getting more and more disgusted with all news organizations. I can't tell you if I'm disgusted with NPR yet, because I haven't heard their news this morning yet. As most you who live on the computer know by now, a bad virus really messed up the internet yesterday. It may still be giving problems... Sign in to see full entry.

I can't believe we lost Gregory Hines!

I guess I wouldn't be so surprised if I had known he had cancer. Was this widely known? Probably not. I'll bet Savion does a tribute to him. I would love to see that! No global warming, eh? The Alpine glaciers are melting from the unprecedented European heat. In the meantime, the water off of... Sign in to see full entry.

Road Trip Continued

Our road trip got off to a rocky start. Otter had bought new tires the day before, and when we hit the freeway the car started to shake. We almost went home to get my jeep, but Otter doesn't like to drive it because it doesn't zoom. We went to the tire place, and they said they were having trouble... Sign in to see full entry.

Road Trip!

We're not usually this spontaneous, but a few days ago we learned that there was going to be a green energy trade show in the northern part of the state. Saturday morning we piled into the car and drove three hours to get there. (Normal people would drive for at least four hours. Otter drives FAST.)... Sign in to see full entry.

Arizona musician recommendation

If you live in Arizona, you might want to check out Chris Alcaraz. He has a band that plays dancable rock covers in bars, but he also plays his own original music. I'm not sure how to exactly describe it, but it's kinda poppy and kinda bluesy and a little rockabilly, all done with guitars and bass.... Sign in to see full entry.
