These folk, my simple, ordinary Spanish friends and neighbours have taken us to their hearts, and we are as members of a huge, loving extended family. They are my hosts and my family, in this land that I love so much that the land of my birth is now a strange bourn at the other end of the Universe; an alien place, inimical to what Spain has made me.
