Strong writing Terry.
I maintain that it's the misinterpretation of faith that gives us such disconnected minds. You looked at that aspect in one of your prose paragraphs, but in the poem, the 'your god' is unclear. To me, the 'your god' is the one corrupted in the mind of an individual and in the minds of those that shape that individual, but not the god of the religion per se. You're more of a history man than me, though, so could no doubt talk well and educate us on the atrocities committed by individuals or groups of individuals in the name of other religions.
I will do those links for you. Probably next week now, though.
Tara.

Well written. The lines about the "ancient awful djinn" and the "beast in man" are memorable. I think of the WTC, Madrid, London, all the innocent people and hope it does not happen again.

Ariel powerful lines especially the last verses.
I am sure Justice will be done and they will not go unpunished but leave that to God, He has just the thing for them eternal and damnation.
I remember the underground incident where the bomb exploded. I believe the survivors have been receiving on going counselling years after the event. Life never returns to normal for those poor people we may move on but how can they? Very painfully and inch by inch i would imagine.

That happened in 2004?
Seems longer ago. I suppose it's easy to forget, when you're an ocean away.
