Who will be the new Pope?

News stories to day state it is likely that the new Pope will hail from south of the Equator. This Pope was a man I admired, even though I am not even Christian, much less Catholic. He made a difference in many areas. I look forward to a new Pope who will modernize the Church and who will take swift and harsh action against those in the Church who would dishonor it through criminal acts. Are we looking at an African-Nation Pope, or one from South America? Sign in to see full entry.

A Battle of Words Continues

What disturbed me yesterday as I listened to Michael Schiavo's attorney speak was the belligerent tone of some of the press as they asked questions. Journalists take sides . . .

The Terry Schiavo case brings home an important and disturbing point. Journalists are taking sides when they report their stories. They are editorializing rather than merely reporting the facts, as they are supposed to do. Television reporters are particularly guilty of this journalistic sin. When, if ever, will we get honest journalism in our country. Freedom depends on a source of truth, and those sources are rapidly dwindling. Sign in to see full entry.

Schindlers Argue Against Biblical Truths . . .

They are Religious Prostitutes. In both the Bible and in Civil Law, once a woman is married (same holds for a man), the parents are no longer an authority in her life. It is the spouse whose relationship is paramount and the parents have no authority over a married child. So, the Schindlers are nothing more than religious prostitutes, taking what they want from their "oh so precious" Bible, and ignoring the pertinent parts of it. Sign in to see full entry.
