There were a few close guesses for the year and the amount of the first

minimum wage. Actually, I was impressed that people knew it was 25 cents! However, the year was 1938. Hmmm, what can we buy today for 25 cents? A candy bar? No. A notebook? No. Token? No. Soda? Actually, outside some Walmarts, the dispensing machine does have a 25 cent sign on it. Anyway, you get... Sign in to see full entry.

Trivia for the Trivially inclined.Okay, I am full of lots of useless info!

Tonight, while sitting at dinner together ( a rare event these days), we began to discuss some of the useless facts that I have been picking up while doing some research. My youngest daughter began to spout some of these facts. She had read one of my articles and retained most of the information... Sign in to see full entry.

Okay, okay, how about I get one of the stopwatches that freezes time like

in the old Twilight Zone and I get myself 3 more days a week. That way no one has to work any extra days but me! I don't mind working when it's writing! The only thing is that I am kind of nervous about breaking that watch if I ever do find one! Last night I did manage to write 3 articles. Spent... Sign in to see full entry.

I need about 3 more days in my week. How about you?

I wish there were longer weeks and longer days. I have too much to do and wonder why some of this wasn't available to me when I was younger and had too much time on my hands. My youngest dughter says my new choice of career isn't going to be a healthy one for me. She says that I am too addicted to... Sign in to see full entry.

Cutting the benefits to nothing....or next to nothing....

It often makes me wonder why people stay in a job that is going nowhere. Perhaps the pay is good? Perhaps it isn't. Perhaps the benefits are wonderful? Perhaps they aren't. Perhaps it is simply a case of bills to pay. Whatever it is, I wonder what the bills are like in the next life, because they... Sign in to see full entry.

Writing fever is going to kill me!

When I was first introduced to Blogit, I had to go on every single day. At one point I had 13 different blogs. I was on in the am and I was on in the pm. If I wasn't writing, I was reading. Now, my time on the computer is being overrun by my need to write something that can sell-anything that can... Sign in to see full entry.

A Dry Spell...

After my initial success at selling articles, I hit a dry spell and didn't sell anything for 13 days. Perhaps, the fact that I didn't write anything for my one avenue of success had something to do with it. The stuff that I did write wasn't turned down, it simply wasn't requested. Makes a big... Cut throat writers....Imagine that!

Nit quite content to see if the few pieces they wrote sold, the writers simply put it out there, "If you pick me, I will write them all for you quickly." Now isn't that typical. Yet I find it annoying that on a website where everyone is supposed to have equal opportunity, someone is out there,... Sign in to see full entry.

Ho,ho, ho! I have been baking cookies, and the house smells so heavenly!

I have been living in the kitchen instead of at my computer lately. I love my sweets and Christmas cookies are definately on the list. Some things never change though...the types of cookies that I make, the people who help, the kind of help that I receive when I ask for help (sure I will help. I'll... Sign in to see full entry.

In lieu of a Christmas bonus, you are getting what I gave you for

Thanksgiving. Now isn't that just dandy. Seems as though hubby's employer became confused and gave his workers a dvd of religious nature for a Thanksgiving bonus, when he meant to give it to them at Christmas time. Huh? Yep, that's what I said too. The boss claims to have confused the two holidays... Sign in to see full entry.
