HR 254: Based on a Lie!
Why am I not surprised? It turns out that the basis of HR 254 was the alleged beating death of an elderly homosexual man. Well, it turns out that the man wasn't beaten at all and that he died of natural causes. So much for the hate crime. I'm all for prosecuting anyone who harms another person for whatever reason but we already have plenty of laws on the books for those crimes. All we need to do is enforce them.
