Armistice Day
I walked across Green Park at lunchtime today to pick up a sandwich from Pret over on Piccadilly. It's a nice walk in the sunshine and only takes about fifteen minutes to get there from our office in Belgrave square. Today was especially beautiful with shaftes of sunlight providing beams of light...

Still with us
Wet and windy in London this morning after a very blustery night across Cambridgeshire! I'm feeling OK today though, after a good night's sleep, and concentrating on the positive. Had another grim 'management meeting' at which I presented some impressive web stats which nobody was impressed with at...

We lost the battle
Christian's team lost the game 0-5 this aftenoon and so they are out of this season's cup. The scoreline doesn't really reflect the play and Cherry Hinton battled really well but just had little bite up front and allowed the opposition - St Ives - too much room to put their moves together. Christian...

Football in the sunshine
We have a motorhome which has, unfortunately, been off the road for a few months becauseof a drain on the battery. The garage have now fixed an automatic switch that should conserve some of the battery power. This sounds as if I know what I'm talking about, doesn't it? In fact I know nothing of cars...

Remembering
I'm a bit up and down today. I always get like this as Remembrance Day approaches. I wrote about it in my BookMark blog earlier. As I said, we cleaned my parents' bungalow out today. We were up at 6.00 (on a Saturday!!) so that we could be there for the skip delivery. We took mirrors and shelves off...

It's a beautiful day today
Lovely day here in Cambridgeshire. The sun, though quite low in the sky, is shining and warming us all. There isn't even that sharpness in the air that reminds us that Autumn represents a dim humming and strip of light below the inevitable fridge. I've just walked down to the Post Office to get some...

Don't just lie there!
Born under the star sign of Pisces, I am a natural born daydreamer. I'm not afraid to admit it nor that I have a gentle personality that I hope is warm and accessible. However, it does come with in-built insecurities! It isn't always an advantage to be intuitive about things or to see so many...

Awake
I imagine many of you will have been awake for some time, with the US Presidential Election taking place. For those who weren't awake and watching events unfold, I bet you will be wide awake very soon! From an English perspective, we're obviously tuned in to the major issues if not the subtle...

Overwhelming
Firstly, thanks so much to everyone who commented on my blog yesterday. I know that we can choose our outlook, however much the idiots and the evil tries to shape us otherwise. I felt as though I was among friends when I came back to Blogit and it really, really helps. To be honest, yesterday was...

Back to the grind!
Back in the office this morning, already dealing with petty squabbles and political posturing. Isn't is a shame that the little people I've spent the last two days with, playing games and having fun, should turn into adults? I hope they won't grow into the kinds of people I have to put up with here...
