ROSES ARE RED AND ALL OTHER COLORS; VIOLETS ARE NOT BLUE THEY ARE PURPLE! Some wear white rose on Mother's Day if their mothers are deceased and red rose if their mothers are living. Most people do not wear flowers anymore except to some such thing as a prom. We used to wear corsages for all sorts of occasions. Of course so many of us grew our own flowers.
