Need Fodder? Grow Corn.
I am just hanging out in my writing corn crib so to speak. When i was little I would watch my Grandfather go through the corn fields on his land and pull the leaves off the stalks. He rented his land to other farmers who needed more land to farm. They did not use their corn stalk leaves so Papa did. He pulled these and put them into bundles and fed them to his horses and cows. I guess it was like our eating fiber. When I grew up I learned the word was used more to describe an excess to be used... Sign in to see full entry.
