You know that dog in a distance that just barks the same staccato yap with no message just lonely repetition. He never comes near or goes farther away, just at the edge of your hearing. The rain is gently coming down but there is that one leak in the gutter right outside the bedroom window that trickily pours and interferes with the softly dropping sounds of sweet rain.
