December

The last month of the year is here. In my Georgia O'Keefe calendar which sits to the right side of my work space, the painting for the month is is White Flower, a 1932 o il on board. It's beautiful. Lunch at the Triveni

Yesterday, Krish and I had lunch at Triveni. I had my tooth crowned at 12 PM and my mouth was stinging like hell. Lunch at 1.30, said Atul Tulli, the dentist. Nature Bazaar, revisited

I went back to the Nature Bazaar (see previous posting) with my friend Krish yesterday. It was a very balmy day - which means slight sun, slight haze and thus, inclination towards slight movement! After the nightmare, questions

Well, as I write this, the hostage crisis is over, as of 12 hours ago. Now to pick up the pieces. Yesterday, there were local elections in Delhi. The Hostage Crisis

Well, the hostage crisis continues. More have died, some are out and it seems like things are winding down. There is a high alert in Mumbai and also in Delhi. Terrorists at our door

As I write this, Mumbai, the largest city in India is under attack. Last night we came home at 11.30 PM. I went to the bedroom to change my clothes and came out. The Nature Bazaar

Today, I visited the Nature Bazaar. It's an annual event, organised by Dastakaar, a cooperative of crafts and craftspeople. It is in the very beautiful open air space called Dilli Haat. A Thing of Beauty

Nourishing the Spirit

I need to take time to nourish the spirit. Yesterday, I did several things towards this. First, I spent a few hours on the sunny terrace at home. Enter my home

This beautiful pot of blooms sits on the left side of the front door to our home. I just love it. Everytime I enter the home, it fills my heart. My eyes are so happy that it's there. I started this blog in mid-March 2006 when I moved to Kabul, Afghanistan, for a four-month assignment. In mid-July I moved back to India, and am continuing the blog.
