The Inside of a cow's ear ,,

I never looked inside a cow's ear. I have heard the expression all my life. What do you expect it means? Or is it a sow's ear? Is that a pig? It must be rough and not smooth to the touch. Then I remember the expression to make a Silk Purse Out Of A Cow's or Sow's Ear..that it would be difficult. Do... Sign in to see full entry.

If you don't have enough money then you are figuring how to cut back and save, maybe get a second job, or pray for expenses to decrease. Today I went forward. I ventured into the unknown. Thats right, at l p.m. I made my way to the corner of Helen and Grace Streets in the this little town for an appointment with destiny. The meeting took place in a modest corner building with modest landscaping and a small garden. The benches were... Sign in to see full entry.

Whats on your plate?

It seems everyone of us is involved in so many projects. Only a few weeks until Thanksgiving. The fattened turkey will be resting in the refrigerator while the shopping continues for cranberries, sweet potatoes, fruits from the vineyard and all the trimmings. Maybe a ham will be baked with special... Camels in the oldl West, shocking!

To quote LT.Edward F. Beale, USArmy "The camels are the most docile, patient and more easily worked than mules." July 24, 1857 This copy came from the Territorial Gazette, Arizona Territory, Saturday October 20, 1857, reprinted for the celebration in Kingman. We had a celebration here in town... Subject to Investigation

So we carefully approached the desk? The Indian man was sitting there in colorful but western clothing talking with another gentlemen. It was the occasion of a local Festival. The first display consisted of 5 oil paintings of historical events. They were beautiful pictures that were laminated in a... Sign in to see full entry.

The challenge

Can you feel it? There is an electric pulse of life all around us. The magic of the routine life is with us and as comfortable as that may be, we are challenged to break through any barrier to find ourselves. Yesterday was such a day. I have been reading about the political issues pre/election 2008.... Sign in to see full entry.
