Home

It took about two hours longer than normal, but I have arrived home unscathed. The freeways had almost one clear lane due to the snow and the second lane was hit and miss the entire trip. No one with half a brain was in that lane unless you could see a clear path to get around the guy in front of... Sign in to see full entry.

I always bring exciting times. The furnace at my daughter's place shut down in the middle of the night and it is 50 inside and 18 outside. Lovely. I am waiting on a repair guy now. As soon as I sign the contract with this other guy, I am homeward bound. Take care. V Sign in to see full entry.

I Am Here

I made it. A lot of vehicles in the ditch but I had no issues. V Sign in to see full entry.

Off To See the Wizard

I just posted everything I could before it was too late to be on time. The car is warming (it's 12 here) and my stuff is in the back seat. I'll post when I arrive about five to six hours from now. I suspect this trip will take an extra hour that normal due to weather. Take care! V Sign in to see full entry.

Darn The Snow, Full Speed Ahead plus The Story Behind the Story.

Alright. I've decided to re-edit "The Haunting of A Small Town," a true story made into fiction, sometimes known as a Roman à clef. As you read this story, keep in mind that in some manner, the events in this story really happened to me.If I ahd to put a percentage on truth vs fiction, I'd say that... Sign in to see full entry.

Turkeys, Lessons, and Johnny

Johnny, my eight-year-old grandson, called me this morning to talk to me about a flock of wild turkeys that had woke him up as they gobbled their merry way past his window to the woods. John loves to watch them, but not at 6:45 AM on a Sunday. I had asked him about doing a series based on his ideas... Sign in to see full entry.

The Summer of '42 & Me

As happens all the time with (monkey) business trips, my leaving has been postponed until early Monday morning. While that gets me downstate a few days later, it also gets me back a day quicker. Story of my life ya know? I woke up about an hour earlier than normal here to find another three inches... Sign in to see full entry.

Give A Listen

For those with kids or grandkids, I've posted the audio of "Johnny Robot - Space Alien " over on my "Let's Write" blog. I hope you enjoy it. If you have an Amazon or Audible account, please wander over and rate it please! Sign in to see full entry.

Living The 906 Life

The good thing about today is it almost 18 degrees out with very little wind. The bad thing is that we won't see this temp again for several days as it is dropping to the low teens for highs with lows nearing zero. Ahh the 906 Life! The house is well insulated and the heating is more than sufficient... Sign in to see full entry.

I Was Walking In Memphis... or Maybe It Was Newberry

It's about 20 degrees today but the wind has finally died down. At least my area isn't a massive blaze like California. My heart goes out for these people.I have a lot of friends out there and at least one of them has been told to leave. I took each of my three dogs out for an abbreviated walk and...
