The Story Behind The Story

I always try to get my historical sightings in a story as close as possible to reality. As I mentioned in my 'story blog,' I am adding another scene to "Say 'Hello' To Dave." Another nice night as far as temperatures go, but the snow began to fall about 6 AM. If the weather forecast is to be believed, we are gonna get buried - again. Feeling almost normal - or at least as normal as I can get today. I must have gotten about fourteen hours of sleep last night. I am home, very very tired, but I am home. I haben't got the final report, but the preliminary reports indicate that the drug overdose situation didn't cause any damage to my heart. Ernie Ford sang a song long ago about "Sixteen Tons." Iw as on the road all day yesterday to pick up the young man show spent most of the summer with me as we traveled the UP taking photos and such. I am about to leave for the day. Just to make it nice traveling weather, it is -3 right now but heading toward 23 or so. It is my intention to make this a round trip as I go from Newberry to Grand Rapids and back. I keep a 'jump bag' that has three days of clothing, ten days of my medications, and... I just found out that I have to make a quick trip south tomorrow (Tuesday) so I'm making a few posts tonight as I have to go down there and back by 6PM, roughly a 700 mile round trip.
