That's the toughest part of dementia/Alzheimer's, the slow burn it is. Hopefully, he will improve.

Well Kabu here if there is only one person in a house the rates are halved. Sadly there is no cheap way to live this days. At least Wiley is in a real nice place, some are not so good as you know well. Take care and keep warm.

God bless you both. Life is so strange, we live it every breathing minute yet never know where it's taking us...

Maybe these valentine gnomes will bring you a smile.

May be a cartoon

I copied them from the Main Street Community Center's FB page. Stay cozy.

It's a cruel disease all around. So sorry.

I have never dealt with this type of situation, but I can imagine that it would be very hard and stressful. I am so sorry that you are going through this. God bless you both.

Good Afternoon

Kabu, reading this makes me love Wiley as if I knew him.  He sounds like he can be a real character and a feisty soul.  I can just see him zooming up and down the halls as fast as he can go.  I'm sorry his short-term memory is gone but he is healthy and loves to talk to you even if he can't remember.  I'm sure for a minute here and there he feels like he's being held against his will.  God Bless him and keep him safe.  Thank goodness you have a warm home and Mr. Graysome to keep you company.  Once your gnomes wake up things will get a lot more lively at your house.  Remember they've had lots of rest so they are going to be ready to get into mischief.  You'll have to be one step ahead of them every step of the way.
