Thank you for sharing your slice of heaven.
It is the kind of place that I would also feel at home. Filled with wildlife and foliage, and off of the beaten path. We have similar surroundings, just not as much land as you. Our home is also yellow.

This post was just what I needed. I may read it three or four more times. It is making my tension headache go away. It has been a hard day of a difficult month. I woke to find that I could do nothing more for Ribcage. He had passed away sometime after 0400 when I told him I was going to go to bed and get some sleep. He let me know that was a good idea. "Yes" he whispered, "go get some sleep" and he waved at me. When I woke for my 0800 meds he was gone. Since then it has been dealing with two really nice and gentle police, two forensic people taking Ribcage away, calling the funeral home, calling P.D., Preacher, and Sis. Everything else is going to have to wait. I need a little nap.

I love your descriptions of Camelot North, and the stories you and
