That was a worthwhile visit especially getting the disability tag display. I love you.

A few small steps in the right direction make all the difference :)

Those legs have put in a lot of mileage - maybe it's time to give them a little help. Great for the permit! I'm wondering if a change of diet wouldn't diminish the bowel problem...with a cheating 'eat-what-I-want' day here and there.

too few people ask for the parking permit.  I'm glad you did!!

Sounds like it was about time, Wiley.  A close friend who has had to use a stick for several years now has a motor scooter for longer walking distances (she has Parkinsons).  Better go with the flow and use the aids, rather than stop doing things. Well done to you both xx

I'm glad you got the disabled parking and I'm more glad that Wiley's results are encouraging and he doesn't have to have that test ever again. And that the walker will be paid for not out of your pocket. Sorry though that he is still having problems. You do take good care of him though, and that's important and a blessing.

I know from the experience of loving my grandmothers, my mom and dad, old friends, geriatric specialties as a nurse, and now myself that there is so much that doctors can do nothing about in the aging process.  Our bodies will do their own thing when we reach that point.  I'm so glad that you got the car parking thing.  That helps a lot.  We had one for taking my Mom places when she was in her eighties and now I'm finding I'm having trouble with distance parking and am always so glad when I can push a shopping cart.

Those bathroom issues seem to be very mysterious to members of

the medical profession. I have found some improvement by avoiding gluten and cutting back on sugar intake - but I've got to have my taste of chocolate once a day and a scoop of ice cream now and then or why bother?  I find I can eat some snack crackers, etc., if they are non-GMO (not genetically modified) which is what causes the loose bowels that impact many of us as our immune system ages... Good thinking about that parking sticker. That should help.

Yes a disabled sticker is really great, I used to have one for my mother. It was funny to watch people run as they saw the warden big smiles turning into scowls as they received a ticket to pay a fine. Wiley must just take it easy, even I have to rest now and then.

I am glad that Wiley was able to finally get some answers for the problems he is having...That is good that vet affairs will pay for the walker.

Well, that's pretty good news all around, and that parking sticker should be a real benefit!
